The Women's Christian Reading Challenge meets on the second Tuesday of each month in the church library. Members read one book each month from a different genre. We report on our books over a cup of coffee, offering accountability and encouragement to each other to keep going and complete the challenge. Christian living, doctrine, commentaries, devotional literature, biographies, church history, other religions, fiction—we sample them all! Stretch your mental and spiritual muscles with us. The first meeting of the new year will be on Tuesday, September 14 at 7pm. Questions? Contact the church office. Dinner with Lewis This once-a-month group gathers at the home of New Life members to discuss different C.S. Lewis books while enjoying a potluck dinner together. The next meeting will be August 31 at 6:30. If you are interested, email the church office at church.office@newlifepca.com. New Life Families: Do you have a daughter or daughters in first through fifth grade? Would you be interested in having them attend an ongoing Wednesday night program especially for them? Save the Date for the Women's Mini-Retreat! Ladies of New Life and your worthy friends, save the date for the next women's "mini-retreat"! It will be held at New Life on Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 9am to 4pm. We will have two excellent speakers (including former New Lifer Eowyn Stoddard!) address us on the challenging topic, "Selfless Living in a Selfish World". Don't miss the inspirational messages, the great music, the savory goodies and coffee drinks at our Coffee House, and the fantastic catered lunch! Start spreading the word... Evergreen Club: Psalm 92:14 says that "They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming 'the Lord is upright'" If you are in the "old age" stage of your life, please join the Evergreens the last Tuesday of each month at 11:00am. The New Life College & Career-Aged Singles Group meets the 2nd and 4th Sundays, 5:00-7:00pm, for dinner, fellowship, music, and a Bible study. View photos of recent church events!
